It snowed on the Coquihalla Highway (BC highway 5) once in June, thankfully I wasn't there at the time though. I believe it man, the mountains do weird things.

Being very alone...in mountains is creepy. I went on a hike once by myself up into some isolated mountains...I don't recommend it.

We lived east of Vancouver on the edge of town (seriously the very edge of all of Vancouver). Interesting spot. Go one city...city of 2 million go the other, nothing but hundreds and hundreds of miles of bush. You could walk all the way to the yukon and cross all of three roads.

denver is an interesting place, 8 miles north of me is downtown, 50miles west is the mountains and 10 miles northeast of me is that arts district. Its a very diverse area.
